Proprietor Jean E. Hansgen is a Registered Nurse and holds both a Bachelors and a Masters in Nursing. She is a certified Feng Shui Consultant, Hypnotherapist, and Reiki Master/Teacher. She opened the shop as part of her own recovery from depression and co-dependency so she could continue to be with others who seek self-improvement. When she isn't at the store, Jean is busy as a Hospice Nurse. Jean loves to kayak on flat water, hook rugs, and drum. She is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Coco, a toy poodle, serves as Jean's assistant . Though Coco writes in Many Voices, dance and play are her primary forms of artist expression. Coco is a survivor of "toddler-abuse" in the store. In late 2001, Coco retired & with more meditation, medication, and quiet is having fewer seizures. She is missed at the store but stays in touch through her column in Many Voices, the Harmonious Balance newsletter. Coco continues to advise on purchases.

Since Jean is doing Hospice On Call Nursing. after 5 PM, she may be called away. If so, activities will still take place and you may see a sign that says "Gone Nursing." We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
